"Vissi d'Arte, Vissi d'Amore" (I Live for Art, I Live for Love)

HomeMABUHAY! Aug 12, 2007
Mabuhay!

This is a Filipino verb in the form of a command: "LIVE!" It is also a wish: "May you LIVE!" It is an invocation and a celebration of life itself.

I invoke this Filipino greeting to welcome you to my life lived for Art and lived for Love or in Italian, Vissi d'Arte, Vissi d'Amore, taken from Act II of Giacomo Puccini's opera Tosca, one of my favorites!

Enjoy the pictures, the narratives and the links!

Come to the events I recommend in the calendar section!

This site will be a work in progress and you are free to contribute to its development.

Martin

Cuz, what a great site. I finally succumbed to multiply thanks to the fact I manage our batch site. I know you cant make it to my Poveda event on Oct 18, but please help spread the word. Lets make this world a better place to live in. Let buy earth friendly products and lets help the kids understand what they need to do for a better future.

Hi Justin!
So nice to hear from you too! Congratulations on your engagement to Janna! Please email Mr. Poppen's profile to my yahoo address in case I can find performance opportunities for him here or through my FACP contacts. Please read my blog entries on FACP. You may know violinists between 16 and 30 years old who want to apply for the 5th Seoul International Music Competition. Deadline is already November 14. Grand prize is $50,000. More information on www.seoulcompetition.com

Hope all is well with you!

Hi Martin,
Thanks for inviting me. How are you? Good to know about all your activities in Manila. Im now in Augsburg, a small city here in Bavaria, playing with the Philharmonic Orchestra here. Too bad we didn't see each other when i was there last august. I wrote you an email but i don't think it reached you. any way i hope you are fine and well. guess what!?Janna and I are getting married August next year.Christoph Poppen and family are coming. You might know any concerts for him and his wife Juliane Banse during their stay in manila.
All the Best! Justin

Thanks for finally signing up on Multiply! Cool that your sandals are in New York boutiques already! May they be in more! :) I won't be able to visit as initially planned this December. Tita Rory and Michael will be the ones going instead. Hope you can see them! Miss you too!

Hi Ana!

Better yet, why don't you come visit me in FEU when I get back 3rd week of May? I can give you a campus tour and then we can have lunch or merienda. We can email in the meantime. :)
